Hexagon socket round head bolt

Manufacturing Process

The production process of a hexagon socket round head bolt involves several steps. Firstly, raw materials such as steel or stainless steel rods are sourced and cut to the required length. The cut rods are then subjected to a series of heating and rolling processes to form the correct shape and size of each bolt.

Next, the bolts are placed in a forming machine that contains a series of dies, which press the hexagonal shape into the bolt heads. This process is known as cold heading, and it produces a smooth surface without the need for a separate machining operation.

After forming, the bolts are then heat-treated to achieve the desired mechanical properties and strength. This involves heating the bolts to a specific temperature, then cooling them rapidly to produce a hardened surface layer.

The bolts are then finished by either galvanizing or plating with a corrosion-resistant coating. This step is important as it helps to protect the bolts from environmental factors such as corrosion and rust.

Finally, the bolts will be packaged into boxes or bags for shipping and transportation to customers. Each bolt is checked for quality control to ensure it meets the necessary standards and specifications for the intended application.
